Delivery of MV TRANSCENDEN FORTUNE
[March 8, 2023] In the morning of 8 March 2023, the 85,000DWT newbuilding MV TRANSCENDEN FORTUNE was successfully handed over to her owner by Shanhaiguan Shipyard Co Ltd, who is the subsidiary company of Dalian Shipbuilding industry Co.. This newest eco-friendly vessel will be immediately put in service for ship’s charterer.
This newest vessel (Dolphin 85 Type Vessel) is a great addition to our fleet of eco-friendly ships that transport major dry-bulk commodities around the world.
The Dolphin 85 Type Vessel is a new generation vessel compared to the previous generation of 82K KAMARMAX. It uses a new linear design and its superstructure layout is able to reduce wind resistance. This greatly optimises the vessel performance which allows it to perform at a faster speed with lower fuel consumption.
Equipped with the SCR Denitrogenation, its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) exceeds the Phase 2 requirements and is able to fulfil the requirements of the new maritime regulations in next stages such as energy saving, emission reduction and environmental protection.
